The Hawthorne Shirt is a timeless, camp collar silhouette fine tuned for warmer days. This time around, we’ve rendered this laid-back favorite in a breathable blend of lyocell, linen, and organic cotton for an easy drape with an airy, cool-to-the-touch handle.

Lyocell—often known by the brand name Tencel™— is an environmentally responsible fabric derived from natural wood pulp that offers unmatched breathability and a distinctive, cool hand feel. For The Hawthorne, we’ve blended it with linen for added strength and texture, and a touch of cotton for softness. The result is a shirt tailor-made for warm days and balmy nights.

  • 6.5-oz. 59% tencel, 22% linen, 19% organic cotton dobby.
  • Washed for a soft, lived in feel.
  • Camp collar (no collar stand) meant to be worn open.
  • Single rounded chest pocket.
  • Flat hem with vents at side seams.
  • Double-needle felled construction.
  • Wash cold and tumble dry low.
  • Made in China.

Owen P. ★★★★★

The camp collar sits just right—not too loose, not too stiff—and the asphalt color is darker and richer in person than on screen. Already wore it through a full afternoon out and it held its shape without clinging.

Richard ★★★★★

The camp collar sits just right—not too boxy, not too snug—and the fabric breathes beautifully once the afternoon heat kicks in. I've worn it three times since it arrived and it still looks crisp out of the wash. Exactly what I needed for warmer days.

Richard ★★★★★

Finally a shirt that doesn't cling to my chest on humid afternoons—the camp collar lets some air in and the drape is just right. Wore it all day at a cookout and it kept its shape without looking wrinkled by evening.
