The only thing better than a brand new shirt is one that’s been around the block and has the wear-and-tear to prove it. The Division Shirt is as burly as can be, so you can wear it as an overshirt or layer it in harsher climates, and its indigo dye will fade beautifully with time.

The only thing better than a brand-new shirt is one that’s been around the block and has the wear and tear to prove it. With The Division Shirt, you get the best of both worlds. We’ve given it a thorough garment wash to draw the natural character of this indigo-dyed sashiko finish to the surface, and the harder you wear it, the better it will look.

This indigo-dyed garment will age gracefully and yield beautiful fades down the line. A natural feature of indigo products is “crocking,” where the dye can rub off on light-colored clothing and upholstery. Be mindful, wear often, and wash when needed.

  • 12.5-oz. 100% organic cotton.

Carter ★★★★★

The sashiko weave feels dense and rugged, like it's already broken in after just one wash. I've been using it as a layering piece over a tee, and the washed indigo has this nice, lived-in depth that keeps catching my eye.

Nicholas E. ★★★★★

Wore it as an overshirt on a chilly morning and instantly understood the burly build—the sashiko weave has a stiffness that softens as the day goes on. It’s already starting to show the kind of character that makes you forget it’s new.

Ava R. ★★★★★

The fabric has that broken-in feel right out of the bag, but it’s thick enough to stand up as a proper overshirt. I’ve already thrown it on over a tee for cooler evenings, and the washed indigo has just enough fade to make it look like an old favorite.
